Ok, so I need some practice with my interview skills and, of course, the technical aspects of recording more than one voice at a time.. BUT I did manage to pin down one of the finest turntablists to ever win the World DMC finals, in fact the ONLY Asian DJ to ever win AND the only DJ to ever get 10/10 from every judge; DJ Kentaro.
Our chat was the day after Kentaro’s debut gig in Bangkok, and what a show it was.. a true master showman and technical wizard.

Yup, I’m crap.. no updates for waaaaaaaay too long!!! Anyway, some good news for lovers of turbtablism/hiphop/drum’nbass/experimentalfreakiness residing in Bangkok, Thailand - As we have Japan’s #1 HipHop export: DJ Kentaro, rockin’ 808 on April 4th!!!!
I’ll be supporting him, so get down early and show Kentaro how we do in BKK!

Super chuffed with my award, a massive ‘thankyou’ to anyone that voted for me.. never expected to win, so it was a very nice surprise to hear that I had. The award ceremony wasn’t quite what I’d expected, it was a rather laid back affair - no ceremony, no speeches - instead a decent Indian-buffet and free booze.
Q Bar also won ‘Best Bar’ and ‘Best Ladies Night’, I also play at Bed Supperclub and they won ‘Best place to dance’.

Arrrrrighty, sorry for the superlong break - I’ve been busy writing the score for a Thai indy film called ‘The 8th Day’ - and this podcast features some of the original tracks I’ve written as well as some new releases that are rocking my world. In other news I won ‘Best DJ’ in BK Magazine’s reader’s choice awards yeeeeehhaaaaa!!!!! it’s the first time they’ve ever had a ‘Best DJ’ category so I’m well chuffed, so thanks to you if you voted for me!!!

After monumental anticipation a new club has finally landed in Bangkok.. Superfly. After all the drama it’s finally now open and the club looks fantastic - complete with a near-exact replica of the infamous ‘Saturday Night Fever’ illuminated dance floor!! I’m starting off a new night called “Uptown Saturday Night?” - and it’ll be a mind-bending blend of HipHop, Funk, Breaks and whatever elses rocks the room!!! Every Saturday night from tonight on…
